UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Just so you know my site is not dead, you may be seeing some changes around here as I find a better layout. As I work to improve my sports picking strategy, I also want to improve the layout of this blog.

There are 3 major changes that will be taking place:

-Layout (the right bar is too narrow so I’m looking for a layout that fits better)

-Title (currently I’m considering “Duncan’s Sports Daily,” as it will not only be sports picks (although that will be my focus))

-Content (As just mentioned, I will not only give you good sports picks but hopefully provide some good entertainment with interesting stories from around the sports world and good write ups on big games.)

I Will Be Back…Eventually

Now that a few days have passed, I’m a little more levelheaded about my situation.

I’m still going to be taking some time off from this because it has been taking up a lot of my time. But in the meantime I’m going to try to figure out a simpler way of picking winners.

One problem with trying to find new systems while keeping up with this site is I get overly enthusiastic at the slimmest hint of a winning system. Taking a hiatus from writing will allow me to follow the system longer to make sure it is legit and not just random chance.

So for those loyal readers out there, thank you very much for your support, and don’t worry I’m not giving up.

My advice to you would be to either stay subscribed on the RSS feed or follow me on Twitter so you can get an update whenever I come back.

Yup, my systems suck. I’m done with this. Maybe I’ll come back in a few months when I have things figured out but this is it for now. If you still believe in my NFL system you can follow that but no need to come back for updates as my picks are officially worthless. Best of luck.

The reason bookmakers are afraid to give Northern Colorado a big spread is because they’re most likely looking at Portland State’s 5-0 home record. All one has to do, however, is look at the teams they’ve played at home: Cal Poly (262), Eastern Washington (302), Linfield (NR (D-III school)), Pepperdine (249), Wilamette (NR (D-II school)), Sacramento State (298). Those rankings are according to www.kenpom.com. In fact, the only top 200 team Portland State has beaten is in-town rival Portland (94). Northern Colorado is 15-3 and ranked 89th, according to KenPom.

Time to Climb Out of This Hole

Okay, so right now I’m basically spreading glue on a wall and throwing everything at it, hoping they will stick.

The problem is a majority of the things don’t stick.

I’m going to try something new, and that is just focus hard on 1-2 games and really try to get them right. It seemed to work 2 days ago when I made the 2 unit bet but then yesterday day I tried to go with a big card again and lost.

So my goal today is find 3 2+ unit plays. It seems more possible to hit 2 out of 3 plays for a 2 unit profit than trying to hit 4 out of 6 for the same 2 unit profit.

NCAAB + NHL Parlay

A decent night last night as I went 2-1 for +2 units as my 2 unit NCAAB pick cashed. I have only seen 2 plays so far in the 7 o’clock (eastern) games but you’ll have to wait until about 7 or 7:30 eastern to get my 8 o’clock and later NCAAB plays.

Here are my 2 picks so far:

WOFFORD -16 (VS GEORGIA SOUTHERN)

WESTERN CAROLINA -16 (VS UNC-GREENSBORO)

I’m trying a 3 team parlay for NHL because I’m equally confident in all of these picks. but instead of risking 4.3 units to win 3 units, I’m just risking 1 unit to win 3.96 units.

PHILADELPHIA-125 (VS TORONTO)

BUFFALO -140 (VS ATLANTA)
